The laksa broth was rich, creamy and fragrant with a strong coconut aroma. It was packed with umami from the prawns, scallops and razor clams, while the thick bee hoon soaked up all the delicious broth beautifully. A comforting bowl that seafood lovers would definitely enjoy.

Ayam Bakar Nasi Lemak ⭐ 9/10⭐ 9/10

One of my favourite dishes of the meal. The chicken had an incredible smoky charcoal flavour while remaining super tender and juicy. Paired with fragrant coconut rice and the classic nasi lemak accompaniments, everything came together really well. This is a Jewel-exclusive item and is definitely worth ordering!!

Kueh Pie Tee ⭐ 7.5/10⭐ 7.5/10

Loved the presentation of this dish. The prawns were fresh and had a nice snap, while the overall flavours were enjoyable. Nothing particularly unique, but still a well-executed starter that's good to share.

Burnt Green Chilli Eggplant ⭐ 7/10⭐ 7/10

The wok hei really came through in this dish, giving it a delicious smoky flavour. The green chilli added a subtle spicy kick that complemented the sweetness of the eggplant nicely, making it surprisingly addictive.

Kueh Bingka Ice Cream ⭐ 8/10⭐ 8/10

A lovely way to end the meal. The creamy coconut ice cream paired really well with the soft, fragrant kueh bingka, giving it a nostalgic local dessert twist without being overly sweet.

Overall Thoughts

Besides the food, one of the biggest highlights here is undoubtedly the stunning view overlooking the Rain Vortex. The restaurant is also beautifully designed with tropical murals by Gjergji Rumbullaku and Chinese calligraphy by Yong Cheong Thye, making it feel like a modern celebration of local culture.
