Heartland by Enjoy Review: Best Supper Spot In The East?
Heartland by Enjoy
This hidden spot in Tampines serves creative fusion dishes like Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak and Meepok Carbonara that absolutely took me by surprise with how well executed they were! It also comes with no GST and opens till 12am making this a perfect cozy supper spot :)
What We Ordered
Kopi French Toast ⭐ 8/10⭐ 8/10

This was such a unique and indulgent take on French toast that I've never seen before. The fragrant coffee flavour comes theough clearly and cuts the richness of the sweet condensed milk well. This was such an indulgent and good sweet treat, but definitely good for sharing so that it doesn't get too cloying (or you can just finish it solo like i did :p).
Crispy Pork Belly Nasi Lemak 💰 $14.90 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $14.90 · ⭐ 8/10

The pork belly had a good crispy exterior and the overall dish was well-balanced. (P.S. For Nasi Lemak Sets, you can choose either rice or indo mee!) We chose indo mee for this set which was such a good choice as it paired so well with the crispy pork belly. Indo mee was nothing too unique, but had the familiar comforting flavourful taste that we all know and love. Super solid choice for supper hehe.
Meepok Carbonara 💰 $14.90 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $14.90 · ⭐ 8/10

This sounds like it shouldn't work, but it absolutely does. The dish is creamy and rich in all the right ways, with the meepok noodles holding the sauce well. It's indulgent comfort food that feels both familiar and new. Super creative dish that gets 3 thumbs up from me!
Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak 💰 $27.90 · ⭐ 9/10💰 $27.90 · ⭐ 9/10

This was so good! The beef was tender and required no effort to pull apart. You can choose between rice or Indo Mee as your base as mentioned above. We chose rice which was a good call, as the rich rendang sauce paired perfectly with the fragrant coconut rice. This was definitely on the pricier side so i would only recommend if you have the extra budget to splurge, otherwise their other dishes are good enough with a lower price tag.
Chilli Crab Eggs 💰 $19.90 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $19.90 · ⭐ 8/10

Generously loaded with chunks of crab meat and cooked to silky perfection. The chilli crab flavour is well-balanced, and the eggs are creamy without being too heavy. I loved how the eggs had a slight wok hey taste, and yet still remained so creamy. Would recommend to all egg lovers :)
Har Cheong Squid 💰 $12.90 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $12.90 · ⭐ 8/10

I've always had Har Cheong Gai (prawn paste chicken), but have never tried prawn paste squid before! This was perfectly crispy and the batter had the lovely prawn paste flavour that complemented the squid. This wasn't chewy or tough which is a super important factor for me when eating squid.
Overall Thoughts
Heartland by Enjoy serves up some of the most creative fusion dishes I've tried. This place combines local favourites with unexpected twists, which i appreciated and enjoyed.
They also dont charge GST which is always a win for me :p Overall If you're looking for a late-night supper spot in the east that goes beyond the usual zi char options, this is definitely worth checking out!
Would I return? YES! I would want to try their other fusion dishes next
