SKIRT Review: One of Sentosa's BEST Date Night Restaurants
SKIRT at W Singapore
This atas spot inside W Singapore serves premium wood-fired dishes like dry-aged duck, David Blackmore MB9+ full blood wagyu and foie gras at surprisingly affordable prices. Even better, every meal starts with complimentary appetisers that are so delicious and free flow!
What We Ordered
Before diving into our orders, I felt the need to preface with the fact that every dish is wood fire grilled to perfection, which gives every single dish an incredibly smokey and deep flavour... YUM.

Now, on to our mains :)
Dry Aged Duck ⭐ 9.5/10⭐ 9.5/10

Hands down my favourite dish of the night. The duck was unbelievably tender with an incredibly deep, concentrated flavour from the dry ageing process. The crispy skin, orange gastrique and fermented blackberry jus balanced the richness beautifully, while the foie gras was buttery and literally melted in my mouth.
Complimentary Appetisers ⭐ 9/10⭐ 9/10
OH, and before i continue, i need to mention that every meal starts with complimentary appetisers, which was such a nice surprise.

The Seaweed Custard Kueh Pie Tee (left) completely blew me away with its rich, savoury custard and crispy shell, while the warm Wood-fired Sourdough (right) paired perfectly with the smoky chilli butter. (BTW, these complimentary appetisers are free flow, but just don't go too crazy with them... 😂 hehe)
David Blackmore MB9+ Full Blood Wagyu Skirt Steak ⭐ 9/10⭐ 9/10

An incredibly tender cut of full blood wagyu that wasn't overly fatty, allowing the natural beef flavour to really shine. Cooked over the wood-fired grill, every bite had an intense smoky aroma that paired perfectly with the red wine jus and horseradish sauce.
Beef Tartare ⭐ 9/10⭐ 9/10

I don't usually enjoy beef tartare, but this completely changed my mind. The smoked egg yolk and creamy horseradish gave it an incredibly rich, silky texture, while the crispy potato rosti underneath added the perfect crunch. Every bite was creamy, meaty and packed with flavour.
Charred Hispi Cabbage ⭐ 10/10⭐ 10/10

I genuinely never knew cabbage could taste this good. The smoky char from the wood fire gave it amazing flavour, while the rich cheesy sauce made it ridiculously addictive. It does get slightly rich towards the end, but I couldn't stop scraping up every last bit of the sauce.
Berry Crémeux ⭐ 7/10⭐ 7/10

A beautiful dessert to finish the meal. The berry crémeux was rich and indulgent with refreshing yuzu gel and raspberry snow adding some acidity. It was a little too sweet towards the end, so I'd recommend sharing it.
Overall Thoughts
Besides the gorgeous marina-facing setting, what impressed me most was how every dish showcased the incredible flavours from the wood-fired grill. The quality of the ingredients, complimentary appetisers and surprisingly reasonable prices make this one of the best places in Sentosa for a special occasion or date night.
Would I return? Absolutely. The Dry Aged Duck and Charred Hispi Cabbage are must-orders, and I'd happily come back just for those alone.
