This 24/7 Halal Spot Has Mains Under $10 With No GST & SVC
Haji Kadir
This is a 24/7 halal supper spot on Lavender Street serving generous mains under $10 with no GST or service charge. This is also the very place where Sup Tulang Merah was invented in Singapore, making it a must-try alongside their affordable dishes.
What We Ordered
Sup Tulang Merah (4 Pcs) 💰 $10 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $10 · ⭐ 8/10

This is their signature dish! The vibrant red sauce caught me off guard, and I was initially skeptical of it's taste. However, upon trying it, we found that the lamb was tender and fell apart easily, and the striking red sauce was actually a sweet and spicy sauce that had good depth. What makes this even more interesting is that this shop is the Founder of Soup Tulang Merah in Singapore! (So cool right?). This was definitely worth a try.
Murtabak Stik 💰 $13 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $13 · ⭐ 8/10

This came stuffed with potato, lamb, and cabbage, which made it quite filling. The pastry was crispy enough and the filling had good flavour balance. The sauce they serve alongside helped tie everything together. At $13, it's reasonable for the size, though i would skip this to save space for the other dishes in this list if i had to choose.
Maggie Goreng Thai Seafood 💰 $7 · ⭐ 9/10💰 $7 · ⭐ 9/10

Surprisingly good for $7. The Thai-style flavours came through clearly, and there was a decent amount of seafood mixed in rather than just a few pieces. The noodles had good wok hei taste as well and weren't overly greasy.
Overall Thoughts
This is an extremely affordable spot with many mains under $10 and a huge variety of cuisines to choose from. (They have chinese, malay, indian and thai cuisines). And it opens 24/7 with NO GST and Service Charge which is a definite win (and rare in Singapore).
Would I return? Yes! I would want to try out their other dishes next time
