This Italian Spot in Holland Village Is a Must-Visit for Pasta Lovers
Chicco Trattoria
We visited this cozy Italian spot tucked away in Holland Village that makes fresh pasta daily. With most mains ranging from $20 to $36, it sits in that comfortable middle range where you expect decent quality without breaking the bank :)
What We Ordered
Pork and Pesto Lasagna 💰 $20 · ⭐ 9/10💰 $20 · ⭐ 9/10

This was the standout dish of the meal. Cheesy, creamy, and nutty from the pesto, which brought out the richness of the cheese layers beautifully. The pork added a nice meaty depth that made each bite satisfying. At $20, this feels like solid value for the portion and quality.
6" Chicco Style Focaccia 💰 $18 · ⭐ 7/10💰 $18 · ⭐ 7/10

Super fluffy bread that paired well with the pesto and chilli oil they provided. At $18, it's on the pricier side for bread, but the texture was spot on and it made for good sharing.
Spaghetti Seafood Aglio Olio 💰 $24 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $24 · ⭐ 8/10

This genuinely surprised me with how close it tasted to the versions I've had in Italy. The pasta wasn't swimming in oil, and there was this deep umami flavour that made it feel authentic. The seafood was fresh and well-distributed throughout. Good execution on a classic.
Iberico Pork Chop 💰 $36 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $36 · ⭐ 8/10

Tender and rich, with that melt in your mouth texture you want from iberico pork. Every bite had a deep, meaty flavour that made the higher price point feel justified. This is the priciest item we tried, but the quality matched the cost.
Duck and Parma Ham Toastie 💰 $20 · ⭐ 7/10💰 $20 · ⭐ 7/10

Cheesy, buttery, and properly crispy on the outside. They were generous with both the duck and parma ham, which I appreciated. The combination of meats worked well together and was pretty satisfying. However, this was quite pricey for a side dish, so I would skip this to splurge more on their mains instead.
Pistachio Tiramisu 💰 $14 · ⭐ 7/10💰 $14 · ⭐ 7/10

As someone who loves anything pistachio, this hit the mark. The mascarpone was sweet and creamy, and the pistachio flavour came through clearly without being artificial. This was delicious but nothing too special, just a comforting nice way to end the meal.
Overall Thoughts
After trying six dishes here, I can say this place delivers on flavour and execution. The pasta dishes genuinely surprised me with how well they captured that Italian taste, and the portions justify the pricing. If you're looking for reliable Italian food in the Holland Village area, this is worth adding to your list!
Would I return? Yep, I would wanna try out their other pasta dishes as well
