Top 7 Chocolate Cakes in Singapore Tried & Reviewed
As a chocolate lover with a mega sweet tooth, here's my honest take on the different chocolate cakes I've tried in Singapore
7 spots
$5–$9
Elijah Pies Nutella Tart ⭐ 9/10

This is technically not a cake, but it definitely deserves a spot on this list. The Nutella filling is rich and chocolatey in all the right ways, and the Oreo crust adds this perfect contrasting crunch. Definitely satisfied my sweet tooth completely. I tried their milo pie but it was a far cry from this (imo), so you can trust that this pie is actually good.
Cedele Dark Chocolate Cake ⭐ 8/10

Solid choice if you're looking for something sweet yet not too rich. The sponge has a nice dense texture and the cream layers are not too heavy as well. Nothing too special, just a good slice of cake.
Tiong Bahru Bakery Flourless Chocolate Cake ⭐ 10/10

Okay now let me introduce to you my FAVOURITE chocolate cake in Singapore!! This is everything I look for in a cake, it has a crispy outer layer that gives way to the most fudgy middle, with a dense bottom that somehow doesn't feel heavy. It's properly decadent without being cloying. This hits the spot for me everytime.
Starbucks Chocolate Cake ⭐ 8/10

Honestly didn't expect much from Starbucks, but this surprised me. The cream layers are good, and that hazelnut chocolate crisp on the bottom is is a nice touch. The middle sponge layer felt a bit out of place though. I felt like it was too airy compared to the rest. Still worth trying.
Paris Baguette Chocolate Cake ⭐ 7/10

This cake is good if you prefer lighter textures, but it wasn't really my thing. Both the cream and sponge felt more like mousse than proper cake. It's not bad, but doesn't really satisfy my sweet tooth. Perfect for those who prefer something lighter though.
Awfully Chocolate Cake ⭐ 6/10

I might have ordered the wrong variation here, but this wasn't really up my alley. The sponge was way too airy and the cream wasn't nearly decadent enough for what you'd expect from a place called "Awfully Chocolate." If you prefer lighter, less rich desserts, you might enjoy this more than I did.
Cedele Eggless Truffle Chocolate Cake ⭐ 8/10

Pretty intense and tasted like a huge chocolate slab rather than a cake. Suuuper decadent so it's best to share.
Overall Thoughts
TBB's chocolate cake is still my favourite. And if any fellow chocolate lovers are reading this do hit me up if you have any good suggestions!
